Divorce Documents

You can purchase online divorce kits that allow you to obtain a quick and inexpensive uncontested divorce in your area. Other online divorce services walk you through the divorce process and help you fill out all the essential paperwork. Often times, these websites are staffed by attorneys and paralegals. Some websites offer additional services, including 24-hour legal help and access to attorneys in your area. The better online divorce kits provide forms and information that are specific to your state and offer guarantees that their forms will be accepted by your local divorce court. The prices for the highest quality online divorce services range from $199 to $349. Expect to pay more for services when the divorce involves minor children.

If all you need are the appropriate divorce documents, or blank forms, then purchase a do-it-yourself kit. These kits require that you fill in the details. These kits tend to be cheaper than online divorce services because there are no attorneys walking you through the questions and reviewing the final documents. You must rely upon yourself to make sure there are no mistakes. You can obtain the simple divorce forms for as little as $24.99.

Online divorce services and do-it-yourself kits are best used when there are no complex issues regarding property, debts, retirement benefits or minor children. When the marriage was brief and both spouses agree to divide the property and debts, online services may be more useful than paying an attorney an hourly fee.

Legal, Financial, and Emotional Help

Online divorce information can help you find an attorney in your neighborhood, give you an idea of important questions to ask, and educate you as to what documents you will need.

When you are looking for an attorney, it is important to ask questions. For instance, do they charge a flat rate or only work on an hourly basis? How many other cases are they also handling? Are they the only attorney who will work on your case, or will other attorneys in the law firm who may not know you very well also work on your case?

One of the best resources for finding an attorney is the Martindale website. This resource allows attorneys to rate their peers. This way, you can see which attorneys in your state have the best reputation and experience. For example, an attorney with a rating of “AV” has been practicing for 10 years and has the highest ethical standards, but an attorney with a “CV” rating has only been practicing for three to four years.

When using online divorce resources to find an attorney, it is important to interview the attorney to find the right match for your needs.

Other websites also provide a great deal of information. Divorce Source, DivorceNet and Divorce Online offer articles and information on not only the legal aspects of divorce, but also the emotional and financial aspects.

Sharing With Others

Divorce is a difficult experience. Hundreds of websites offer legal information. However, divorce is not only a legal process but also an emotional process. Sharing your experiencing with others is key to a successful divorce for you and your family. You can use online divorce resources to share your experience with others.

Divorce chat rooms specialize in divorces in your area, dealing with children and dating after divorce.Online divorce newsletters can be sent directly to you by email. You can also find divorce support groups in your area.

I would like to know what gets into a man when he gets to be age 49-51 and decides he doesn't want to be married anymore. When sex becomes the most important thing in a 16 yr marriage, and decides to hash up old issues that were supposedly solved and squashed? Then you find a good man who has gone through the same issues of a unsupporting spouse; someone who doesn't try to understand you have been through 5 major back sugeries, and a hystorectomy.....
