A prenuptial agreement can be used to keep property from being considered marital property. If you receive something as the result of an inheritance, it is excluded from marital property but the best course of action is to consult with an attorney before you get married to discuss these issues and find out whether a prenuptial agreement is needed in your situation.

on inheritance property in georgia,is a prenum needed if the two of us move on the property after we marry to protect my inheritance if devorce should come up down the road?

The funds were included with marital property and spent during the marriage. The money is gone, unfortunately. If you have questions about the way your divorce settlement was structured, your lawyer is the right person to answer them.

when we were married I inherited 50k and paid off the his medical school loans. When we divorced I didn't get any of that money back. Should I have?
