Ruth,
I would suggest that you take the papers to your own lawyer and ask him or her to address the issue of jurisdiction. Failing to respond may result in a judgment being signed without any input from you about the terms.

Both parents have a legal responsibility to support their children. In Arizona, the amount to be paid for child support is calculated based on the cost of raising the child if the parents were together. Each parent contributes to this amount based on his or her ability to pay. Please visit this link to learn more and to see the AZ child support guidelines (in PDF format).

-- Contributed by: JCRedmondI'm in a process of getting a divorce. My Wife and I canât stand each other. We have a
Three months daughter. We live in Arizona and she bought a house where we live. Obviously she makes more income than i do. Every time that we argue she always gives a notice to vacate her place. I donât really care for your house but my Question is on the child support. As a Attorney how would the judge rules base on the fact that my income in half of what she is making? We moved to Arizona because of her career opportunities four years now. Please I need some help in order to prepare myself for the worst.
