Wendy,

Having parents share equally in bringing up their children is the ideal situation, but in reality, one parent often ends up having to take on most of the responsibility for the children.

Susan,

It seems that you feel very strongly about this point. When a marriage breaks down, especially when there are children involved, it can be argued that no one is better off. There will always be people who feel that making a commitment by getting married is worth it, despite the risk that the marriage may not last.

Face it -- there's little incentive for women to get married at all these days. We are, truly, better-off without them. Even with babies-- why raise a grown 'adult infant' along with the baby you have?

Leaving the state does not absolve someone of their responsibility to pay alimony. If payments are not made as ordered, then enforcement proceedings, such as garnishing wages, can be taken by the other spouse.

would it be possible to leave the state eventhough the remodification of alimony is in the process? What is the chances of garnishing the wages? Couple got divorced in FL and moving to Texas? or Las Vegas?
